The Pathologist who conducted postmortem examination on the body of the former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu, has revealed that the full result on the late lawmaker is stolen.

According toDr. Lawrence Edusei Poku, the autopsy conducted in 2017 was stolen by alleged robbers who stormed his house for operation after he travelled abroad.

He added that the examination was done in 2016 but finalised the report in February 2018.

Testifying under cross-examination by lawyer Yaw Dankwa, the pathologist said he had typed the report on a personal computer but while at a conference in Germany, thieves broke into his house and stole everything including the computer which contained the autopsy information.

Dr. Lawerence Edusei made this revelation on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the Criminal Court 5 division of the High Court.

Murder of J.B Danquah

On February 9, 2016, J.B. Danquah Adu was murdered in his residence at Shaishie, near Legon in the Greater Accra Region.

Two persons, Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bossu were arrested by the Police following investigations. They were charged with conspiracy to rob, murder and abetment for the murder of the late MP.

They pleaded not guilty before a seven-member jury but the court lawfully remanded the accused persons into prison custody.

Daniel Asiedu, who is the prime suspect, had earlier said he went to the MP’s house to steal but ended up killing him in self-defense.

Subsequently, he withdrew his claims and stated that he had gone with the intention of killing the legislator after being offered an amount of GH¢20,000 to commit the crime.

Six years on, the prosecution has presented five witnesses.
