Host of the Citizen Show on Accra-based Accra FM, Kwabena Bobie Ansah would soon be arraigned before the Kaneshie Magistrate Court for allegedly publishing false news.
The Journalist was arrested by personnel believed to be National Security officers at the premises of the station owned by the Class Media Group after his show on Thursday.
He was subsequently whisked away to the Nima Police Station where he was kept over night and later transferred to the Striking Force Department at the Accra Cetral Police Station after sympathisers of the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) went to the station to demand his release.
The Police in a statement explained that Bobie who once worked with The Multimedia Group’s Asempa FM was arrested after he failed to honour several invitations to respond to the charge of publication of false news.
Information chanced upon by Angelonline.com.gh is that the Journalist would soon be arraigned before the Kaneshie Magistrate Court.
