The Kaneshie District Court has granted Accra FM presenter, Kwabena Bobie Ansah a bail worth GH¢50,000.
The Journalist was arrested by Security officers at the premises of the station owned by the Class Media Group after his show on Thursday.
He is said to have alleged that President Akufo-Addo and his wife, Rebecca have fraudulently acquired Government lands at AU Village in Cantonments.
The claim, police say was discussed on radio programme anchored him Bobie Ansah from between January 10 and January 17, 2022
The ‘Citizen Show’ host was arraigned before the court today, Friday, February 11, 2022.
The police, also, noted that the broadcaster’s arrest became necessary after “he turned down several invitations to him and others involved in the case, to assist with investigations.
He has been charged with offensive conduct to the breach of peace and publication of false news.
The journalist has pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
Presenting the fact, the prosecution said the Police are still Investigating the matter and would arrest two other journalists within the Class Media Group who conspired with Bobie Ansah but are currently on the run.
The case has since been adjourned to March 14, 2022..
