The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been arrested and detained by the Police for publishing false news.
Kwame Baffoe, popularly knows as Abronye DC was attested and detained after he honoured a police invite for him to come and assist with investigations into claims that former President John Mahama was plotting a coup d’etat with some members of the terrorist group, Al Qaeda.
He had earlier made those claims on Hot fm when contributing to a political discussion.
Abronye DC walked to the Police around 2:30pm local time but was arrested and detained after he failed to substantiate his claim aginst the former first gentleman.
The vociferous politician would be arraigned before court tomorrow.
