Ghanaian gospel musician and instrumentalist, Francis Amo, has disclosed that, he has never seen his father before nonetheless, he is not looking for him.

The gospel artiste explained that he tried looking for his father some years ago but all his efforts proved futile.

According to him, he was once told by an aunt that his father, whose name he gave as Dr. Van Amo, was a Doctor at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital thus he set out to find him.

“When I traveled to Accra for the first time at age 12 and decided to look for him. Upon reaching Korle Bu I asked passers-by and people around if anyone knew one Dr. Francis Amu but I had no favourable answer and got stranded on the streets of Accra,” he said in Twi.

When Kofi Adoma Nwanwani, the host of Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo, asked if he was still interested in looking for his father, he replied that, “I don’t want to look for him [again], I am okay, it is stressful.“

Francis Amo made it known that though his father was never around, his late stepfather was there for him.

He, however, disclosed that, though it is stressful to look for his father, he will accept him if he finds him and will travel with him all over the world if he gets the opportunity.
