Suhum

In a separate accident at Suhum on the Apedwa-Asafo Road in the Eastern Region, two persons have also lost their lives.

The accident involved a Kia Rhino with registration number GR 667 -19 loaded with charcoal.

Angel News’ Francis Armah reported that the incident happened at 3:00 am on Thursday when the Kia Rhino travelling from Wenchi to Accra tried to overtake another vehicle.

Narrating the incident, he said the charcoal-loaded truck attempted an overtaking around Asafo Junction but failed to see an oncoming trailer.

The driver in an attempt to avoid colliding with the trailer tried to rejoin his lane unsuccessfully and somersaulted several times.

The two driver’s mates are reported to have died on the spot.
