Asante Kotokos’ duo win NASCO awards for January

Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, has been named the NASCO Coach of the Month award for January.

Coach Ogum led his team to an unbeaten feat throughout the month under review, where he won four matches and one draw.

He beat off contest from Umar Abdul Rabi of Medeama SC, Karela FC’s Bismark Kobby Mensah and Coach Kassim Mingle of Bechem United.

This means the former West African Football Academy (WAFA) boss has won the accolade for the second time this season having already won the November edition of the monthly award.

He will receive a 43-inch NASCO television set from Electroland Ghana Limited

Also, in the player’s category, in-form striker Franck Mbella Etouga emerged as the NASCO Player of the Month for January.

The Cameroonian import scored five times, claimed two NASCO MVP awards. He is also the leading top scorer of the Ghana Premier League with 13 goals.

Etouga was adjudged winner after beating off competition from Yaw Annor of Ashantigold and Umar Bashiru of Karela FC.

He is also expected to receive a NASCO television set from Electroland Ghana Limited.
