A 38-year-old man, Atta Munkoh, has allegedly hanged himself after defiling his 12-year- old daughter at Anomabo-Nwonwomaade, a small community in the Mfantseman District of the Central Region.

The deceased had reportedly been sleeping with his daughter for some time now and had warned the victim not to disclose the affair to anybody else.

Angel News sources disclosed that the father of the victim threatened to kill her if she speaks.

However, one Mr Alex Adu, a committee member stated that the 12-year-old girl could not keep the secrete any longer and reported it to one of the elders in the community.

He said the suspect was arrested and later granted bail while awaiting his next appearance in court.

“He was to appear before court today but he was nowhere to be found. He was subsequently found hanging dead in a bush after a search party was mobilized to locate him,” a source told Angel News.

Mr. Adu believes that the deceased might have committed suicide to resist the court sentence and save himself from public shame.
