The New Patriotic Party (NPP), office in Nkwanta South Counstituency in the Oti Region, was Friday locked up by some agrieved youth believes to be members of the ruling government.

The agitated party faithfuls carried the activity on Friday March 18, 2022 over alleged misappropriation of area coordinators’ election forms.

According them, they’re against the decision on the part of some executives of the party to sidelined some old and new members who applied for the positions. Alleging that, the names maintained on the list were not party members.

However, the group is calling on the national executives of the party to intervene by scheduling for a fresh nomination else they will not allow the election process to take place.

Leader of the group, Dunyo Reagan said “they have given the executives up to Monday to resolve the issues” because they are poised to place an injunction on the whole process.

Meanwhile, Oti regional chairman of the NPP, Evans Yaw Dapaa, noted that the issue is currently at the constituency level for resolution and called on the angry youth to exercise patients.

Although he condemned the act, he reiterated the commitment of the youth towards the exercise attest to the fact of their readiness to help the party break it’s hopeful eight years term.
