President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised the Black Stars players, technical staff and the management a “special package” for their qualification to the upcoming Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He made the promise when he receiving the Black Stars entourage at the Jubilee House on Wednesday afternoon, March 30, 2022 following the team’s return from Abuja, Nigeria.

Speaking at the meeting, the President said he is personally going to organise something unique for the entire playing body for their heroic feat chalked to qualify the country to its fourth World Cup tournament.

“Everybody is going to be behind you, we are going to give you all the support that we can. The arrangements that they have made with you before are all going to be properly honored and we’ll make sure that everyone is properly recompensed for what has happened.

“I myself am organising a special package for you as a token of my appreciation and recognition,” President Akufo-Addo said.

The President used the opportunity and presented a ‘Presidential Diary’ as a special gifts to Black Stars Coach, Otto Addo and Thomas Partey who captained the team for the qualification.
