The unsporting act occurred on Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2022, after the home sides were held by Samartex to a 1-1 draw at the St Martins Park, at Daboase.

Following this, the Executive Council of the country’s football governing body, says Skyy FC will henceforth honour their subsequent home matches at neutral grounds until further notice.

In a statement, the EXCO said; the decision was taken in accordance with its powers under Article 14(2) of the Division One League Regulations.

“It is against this background of the efforts invested in promoting the safety and security at our matches that the Association is shocked and extremely alarmed at the criminal assaults on some officials and players of the away team. The GFA Prosecutors have been tasked to prefer the appropriate Charges immediately and for the Disciplinary Committee to sit on this matter expeditiously,” the statement added.
