Cape Coast to host WAFU Zone B U-17 Nations Cup

Central Regional Capital, Cape Coast has been selected as the host city for the 2022 West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B U-17 Nations Cup.

The tournament will be staged from Saturday June 11 to Friday June 24, 2022.

Countries that will be successful at the tournament will also qualify for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Algeria.

The tournament features eight countries including defending Champions, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Niger and host Ghana.

The Black Starlets would aim to book a place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after crashing out at the Group stages in the previous edition in Togo.

Meanwhile, coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side have been preparing for this competition since December 2021.
