Ghana League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak has announced the signing of Samuel Inkoom on a one-year contract with an option to extend.

The 32-year-old’s inclusion to the Phobians family comes after a fruitful contract negotiation between both sides.

This follows his impressive performance that caught the eyes of the club’s technical team after training with the Accra-based side since early March.

The former Black Stars defender has been without a club since January following the expiration of his contract at Georgian side, Torpedo Kutaisi, making him a free agent.

The addition of the U-20 FIFA World Cup winner is expected to boost the teams defensive line.

The Rainbow club on their official twitter account said the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko right back is welcome to “the biggest club in the country.”

Inkoom is however eligible to play against his former side this weekend in the Super Clash after successfully securing his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
