Man, 28, shoots sex worker for denying him sex

A 28-year-old Hakeem Mumuni has been remanded into police custody to reappear on April 28,2022 by a Prestea Magistrate Court for allegedly shooting a commercial sex worker by name Promise.

The prosecutor, Chief Inspector Samuel Ghartey told the court presided over by His Worship, Gordon Kpogi that on the night of Tuesday 5th April, 2022, Hakeem went to the place of work for the commercial sex workers and demanded sex from one Aisha.

Aisha asked Hakeem to pay GH 30.00 but Hakeem decided to pay GH 10.00.

When Aisha said no, Hakeem pulled a pistol and threatened to shoot Aisha but later absconded.

Chief Inspector Ghartey further said on Wednesday 6th April, Hakeem Mumuni again went to the same place and this time, came accross a Nigerian by name Promise.

During their chit chat, Hakeem pulled his short gun and shot Promise on her tighs.

Hakeem later run away but was apprehended and arrainged before court.

Promise has so far received treatment at the Prestea Government Hospital.
