Zamalek vice president, Mostafa Hadhoud, has resigned from his position a few days after he was caught stealing a medal.
Zamalek lost the Hanbdall Egypt Cup final last Friday to Sporting Club of Alexandria, who secured their first title after winning 33-30
A video emerged following the game showing Hadhoud putting a gold medal in his pocket.
Following the incident, an emergency board meeting was held on Saturday morning to discuss what happened and resolve the issue.
A few hours later, Hadhoud resigned from his position effective immediately, despite claiming to having taken a silver medal, not a gold medal.
