An Ofaakor Circuit Court presided over by Ebenezer Osei Darko has sentenced the leader and founder of Faith Christian Ministry, Pastor Ebenezer Kumah, to 10 years imprisonment for defiling three teenagers aged 13,14 and 15 years respectively.

According to the police, Pastor Ebenezer Kumah pretended to be a movie director and recruited the teenagers and had sex with them one after the other.

Angelonline.com.gh earlier reported that a self-acclaimed pastor of Faith Christian Ministry in Kasoa Ofaakor Aliko, has allegedly defiled the three teenagers in the Central Region.

The suspect is said to have been training the children in acting but later took advantage of the situation and defiled them at least four times.

After Court proceedings, Ofaakor District Police Commander, DSP Samuel Amfoh, cautioned parents to be vigilant and monitor the activities of their children to save them from such occurrences.

“The court remanded him and asked him to reappear before it on 5th April, 2022. The court found him guilty for defiling all three teenagers and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour”, DSP Amfoh stated.

“My advice to parents is to be watchful and speak to their children, especially the girls, to be very careful and not fall prey to people who lure them with gifts. They must let them be aware of the current trends that unscrupulous people use to take advantage of their children.”

He expressed satisfaction in the court’s ruling since it deters other criminals from committing crimes, which he believes brings relief to the police service and lessens their burden.
