Former President John Dramani Mahama has cautioned the general public to stay away from following any Twitter account bearing the name of his daughter.
According to the former President, his daughter, Farida Mahama, is not on the Twitter platform.
The purported account has been found posting tweets in Miss Mahama’s name. However, Mr Mahama has in a post on his official Twitter account issued disclaimer labelling it as fake.
“My daughter, Farida Mahama, does not have a Twitter account. Kindly ignore and stop following the account in the attached screenshot, set up by some unscrupulous person and being used to send out tweets in her name” he served notice.
Meanwhile the said fake account ‘Farida Mahama’ currently has over Twelve thousands followers.
