Black Satellite of Ghana is officially out of the ongoing 2022 Toulon tournament in France after being defeated by Indonesia in a drama-filled game with surprises.
Coach Karim Zito’s side succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the Indonesian side on June 2, 2022, having already suffered a similar defeat to Mexico in their first match of the tournament.
The Satellites who were the better side in the first half failed to capitalize on the chances they created.
However, Indonesia struck the only goal in the 58th minute through Raka Cahyana which proved to be a decisive moment in the entire match.
The Indonesians thus celebrated a historic feat of beating Africa’s reigning champions.
Ghana has now lost two of their opening two matches and has faced elimination from the tournament before playing her final group game against Venezuela on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
