An armed robber who was arrested by the Police at Sefwi Nketieso in the Western region has been handed a 16-year jail term by a competent court.

The convict, Isaac Addae, on May 29, 2022, was said to have visited his victim, a gold buyer, under the pretext of selling him some gold where he succeeded in robbing him.

The prosecution said, when the victim took the suspect to his room to weigh the said gold, he pulled out a knife, stabbed him, and robbed him of an amount of GH¢15,000.00 and a mobile phone.

The Sefwi Nketieso police following that arrested him and arraigned him before court.

The court subsequently sentenced him to 16 years with hard labor after he had pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.

The Police administration is therefore asking the public who can recognize Isaac Addae in connection with other crimes to report to the nearest Police station for further action.
