The Italian Ambassador to Ghana, Daniela d’Orlandi has called on the Black Stars of Ghana to do their best to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament to be staged in Qatar in December later this year.
According to the Ambassador, he considered throwing his weight behind the Western African giants after the Italians failed to make it to the tournament.
Daniela d’Orlandi made the statement while delivering a speech on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Kempinski during the 2022 Calcio Trade Ball.
She said this after expressing her appreication to Ghanaian players for their immense contributions to the Italian League [Seria A].
“I wish the Blackstars will win World Cup 2022,” she said.
Ghana is drawn in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
