The Assembly member representing the Komfueku-Ituma Electoral Area, in the Shama District of the Western Region, Percy Ahenekwah is pleading with the government to reshape the Komfueku-Shama Junction road.

He said several attempts have been made to the appropriate authorities such as the Regional Minister, District Assembly and feeder roads to help reconstruct the road but none of the responses he received yielded positive results.

The Assembly Member also noted, in one of the feedbacks he received from the engineering department of the feeder roads they indicated the contract given on the project was meant for completion on June 19, 2022.

But, he was of the worry that the scheduled contract date for completion has not translated into work on the road.

The Assembly member, Percy Ahenekwah asserted this in an interview with Nana Fynn of Angel FM.

He thus appealed to the government through the Ministry of Roads and Highway to as a matter of urgency intervene to fastrack the completion of the 42.10km Komfueku-Shama Junction Road.
