Bechem United’s attacking midfielder, Augustine Okrah has rendered an unqualified apology following his unsporting behavior in the FA Cup final against Accra Hearts of Oak.

The apology comes after he was red carded for head-butting assistant line one referee, Stephen Balanguena, in his sides 2-1 lost last Sunday night at the Baba Yara Stadium.

However, the player’s camp has in an official statement asked all stakeholders who got affected by Augustine Okrah’s behavior to pardon him.

“I’m extremely sorry and remorseful for the harm this has caused including hurting sentiment. I am ashamed of myself for having behaved in such manner,” the player said in the statement.

He also called on the people of Ahafo Region and the entire football fraternity to forgive him and pledged not to repeat same attitude.
