Asare played a key role in Accra Lions’ promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the 2019/20 season and helped them escape relegation in last seasons league campaign.

He made 28 league matches and managed to keep 13 clean sheets for the Lions.

He is expected to join the camp of Kumasi Asante Kotoko for their pre-season training and a trip to Turkey to continue their preparations for the 2022/23 season scheduled for September.
