The Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), has called for swift investigations into the attack on the Morning Show host of Accra-based Angel FM Kofi Adoma Nwanwani who escaped death from an attack by some assailants at Agbogba, within the Ga East Municipality.

According to the National Executive of the association they received news of the attack with utter shock.

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2022, while he was driving on the Agbogba-Kwabenya stretch upon his return from Kutunse to Accra. He was attacked by unknown assailants with sharp objects where he sustained multiple wounds.

His attackers attempted to set him ablaze.

However, the GJA in a statement has condemned the attack on Kofi Adoma who also doubles as the Director of News of the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), and demands for immediate probe into the matter.

In a statement, the GJA said “We find the attack heinous and dastardly, and call or the Ghana Police Service to launch immediate investigations into the attack.

“We also urge the general public to support the police in their investigations to bring the perpetrators to face the law,” the statement added.
