A 50-year-old woman has inflicted knife wounds on a man who tried to rape her on a farm.
The alleged rapist, Kofi Owusu Sarpong, sustained two deep cuts to the head during a struggled with the victim, Madam Cecilia Peprah.
The incident happened at Mframaso in the Wenchi Municipality, in the Bono Region, when Kofi asked Madam Cecilia for directions to another farm where he has been hired to work.
Narrating her ordeal, Madam Cecilia said after struggling with him at the farm, she shouted for help which attracted neigbouring farmers who came to her rescue.
According to her, she succeeded in slashing her attacker in a bid to free herself from his grips while struggling with him.
Though she escaped, she however got some cuts on her neck.
Information reaching angelonline.com.gh indicates complaint has been lodged at the Wenchi Police Station where she was informed to go for treatment at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
