The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for a man who was flogging a toddler in a viral video on social media.

According to the police, their aim is to arrest the suspect and rescue the child who was being abused.

The video showed the child crying helplessly though the cause of the ‘unprovoked attack’ is unknown.

“The Police have sighted a horrifying video on social media in which a male adult is seen subjecting an infant to severe beating under a tree”, said the police in a series of tweets.

The Service also announced that “a reward of GHC2000 has been set aside for anyone who is able to provide credible information that could lead to the arrest of the individual and rescue of the child.”
