Accra Hearts of Oak have apologised to its fans following the side’s 3-0 defeat to AS Real Bamako of Mali in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup.

This follows their 3-0 loss to the Malian side on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in the second round first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup.

They conceded twice in the first half as well as one in the second half in a game played at the Stade du 26 Mars in Mali.

Following this, the club in a statement asked the fans to forgive them for the disappointment.

“We sincerely apologize for the loss. We will work extra hard to put smiles on the faces of all Phobians.

“We are grateful to our fans who came to support us against Real Bamako. To our fans back home we say thank you as well. We never say die,” the club said in a post on their Twitter handle.
