An Accra Circuit Court has remanded into police custody for three days the Leader and Head pastor of Heavenway Church, Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa.

It follows her denial of bail after she appeared in court on Monday, October 10, 2022, over her alleged money-doubling scheme leading to her arrest on Sunday, October 9.

The fetish priestess now turned Evangelist is facing seven counts of defrauding by false pretense and charlatanic advertisement on TV and newspaper to lure her victims.

She is now expected to reappear in court on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

The Ghana Police Service in a statement shared via its social media handles on Sunday, October 9, 2022, announced the suspect’s arrest after scores of her church members claimed that she had scammed them after an all-night service.

“The Police have arrested Patricia Asiedua alias Nana Agradaa following allegations of a money doubling scam leveled against her by some members of the public. The suspect is currently assisting police investigation,” the statement said.

The police have since called on all persons who were affected by the supposed scam to report to the Accra Regional Police Command to help with the investigations.

“Anyone who is a victim of the alleged money doubling scam should report to the Accra Regional Police Command for further action to assist the investigation,” it added.
