Hearts of Oak gets new General Manager

Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak, have announced the appointment of Bernard Nana Adu Gyebi as the club’s acting General Manager with immediate effect.

Gyebi takes up the role to lead the management of Hearts of Oak after leaving Medeama SC earlier this year.

His appointment takes effective Friday, October 21,2022.

According to club in an official statement, Nana Adu Gyebi will be in charge of the day-to-day activities of the the club.

This is because of the reorganization of non-executive members such as Alhaji Braimah Akambi and Odotei Sowah who would be keenly focused in the ongoing Pobiman projects.

“His appointment is the first step in the reorganization of the management of the Club.The reorganization will eventually end the involvement of non-executive directors in day-to-day management.

“Non-executive directors, Hon.Sowah Odotel and Alhaj Braimah Moro Akambi, will maintain their involvementin the Pobiman project, and ensure its timely completion. But all related funding requests will be channeled through the Acting General Manager.

“The Board is calling on all Phobians to offer Mr.Gyebi all the necessary support,” the statement reads.

Mr. Gyebl holds a degree in sports business, retailing and merchandising from Buckinghamshire New University, England and other qualifications in sports.

He most recently worked at Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC. He had prior to that worked at the England Foolball Association, Colchester United (England) and Challenger Sports (USA).

He also served as a Special Assistant to owner of Medeama SC Moses Armah Parker.
