Afrobeat singer Wendy shay has detailed how her bestfriend betrayed her and gave her a heartbreak.
In a tweet, the ‘Krom aye shi’ hitmaker narrated that hardworking women seldom find ‘true love’ due to the nature of their busy schedule.
Sharing her personal experience, which is captured in her new Enigma EP, she said her bestfriend stole her man while she was pursuing her career.
Wendy Shay’s “Survivor” song, detailed how her boyfriend led her on and made her fall hopelessly in love when she was not ready only to catch him cheating with her best friend.
“It’s hard for Hardworking women to get genuine love. Whiles I was on the road chasing my Passion my so called bestfriend was also chasing my man and now they are together So ShayGang excuse me for my language, this song is very personal.”
However, the Rufftown singer in a separate interview announced that she is ‘unattached’ and willing to mingle with the single guys out there.
She explained that although she believes in love, she now wants to have all the fun in the world without feeling attracted to any man.
“Right now, I am single, and I am ready to mingle…so anyone who is listening and is ready to mingle with Wendy Shay should let me know. I don’t have any specs, right now I am in to have fun.”
In her “Heaven” track the musician speaks about enjoying the days left on earth without attachments.
In her view, there is no boyfriend in heaven for which reason she must have it all while on earth.
