Police ‘run’ to Shatta Wale in move to find Fennec Okyere killers

The Ghana Police Service has issued a press release concerning the Facebook post made by dancehall artiste Shatta Wale on the death of Fennec Okyere.

Shatta Wale’s post was made in response to his former manager Bullgod, as the duo have been having a ‘beef’ for some time now.

The post which was made in the morning of November 2, reads: “Bull Dog since you are bringing out secretso. You will tell Ghanaians what happen to Fenicks Murder!! And I am not joking about this time!! I am ready to tell the court about what you told me about you and your men and how planned that foolish act get ready. This Akuffo Addo won’t give you a murder chance to be on our streets!!! Watch how this ends!!! You can’t fight time!!!

According to the Ghana Police they have  contacted Shatta Wale and he is cooperating with them.

“The Police have made contact with Shatta Wale who is cooperating with us on the matter.”

The police noted that the murder case of the late artiste manager, Fennec Okyere was already being investigated for some months now with support from the government and the new development, which is Shatta Wale’s post would complement the ongoing investigations.

The Police statement thanked all families for supporting the investigations of the Cold Case Unit of the Ghana Police Service and reassured family members of their relentlessness to work on their cases to give them closure.

Fennec Okyere, who was the manager of the controversial musician, Kwaw Kese, was murdered at his Manet Gardens residence on the Spintex Road, Accra on Thursday, March 13 by unknown assailants. He died at age 31.

Following his death, Bullgod, born Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson, was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID).
