The management of Accra International Conference Center (AICC) has refuted claims of preventing investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI, from using the auditorium for the public showing of the Galamsey Economy Exposé, a documentary by the firm.

On the 13th of November, the Tiger Eye PI issued a press release stating that the AICC was preventing them from using the auditorium for the public showing of the documentary despite the fact that the investigative firm had settled all requirements to use the venue.

The management of AICC has as well issued a rejoinder to the effect of the Press Release of Tiger Eye PI that the event is expected to come off as scheduled.

The letter signed by the Director of the AICC stated there was a scheduling conflict at the staff level of AICC but has been duly resolved, and that the venue managers have made contact with the Galamsey Economy Exposé organizers for the event to come off as scheduled.

“The initial confusion was due to a scheduling conflict at the level of the AICC staff and not in any way a political decision as being speculated. The matter has been resolved. We have made contact with the organizers and the event is expected to come off as scheduled”, the rejoinder stated.
