National Democratic Congress chairmanship position aspirant in the Northern region, Godfred Wumbei, has said he will not accept the results of the elections which took place on Sunday, 13th November 2022.
According to him, he knew he was the winner until the votes were mentioned to the public in favour of his contender Ali John Adolf.
In his statement, he said his agent made it known to him at the end of the poll that, he was leading by 11 votes but for some reason, it was the opposite after the results were pronounced.
In his interview with Adom FM’s ‘Dwaso Nsem’ show on Monday, 14th November 2022, he stated the results were false and it was a broad daylight robbery against him.
“I will never accept the defeat today or tomorrow. The total ballot vote cast was 591 for the chairmanship position. My agent came to tell me I had won but I later realized the person who had 236 was rather declared the winner,” he lamented.
He further explained he requested a recount but it was declined. He alleged that when he asked to see the polling sheet for himself he was not granted it too.
He announced that it was not the end for him and he would surely bounce back with his next line of action.
