Deliberations on the motion of censure against the troubled Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, will start today, December 8, 2022, among Members of Parliament (MPs).

This follows the accusation levelled against the Finance Minister by the Minority caucus over his alleged mismanagement of the economy, financial recklessness, and conflict of interest among others.

The debate at the plenary was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 7 but was moved to Thursday for the house to decide the fate of the minister in question.

Meanwhile, on November 25, 2022, the 8-member ad-hoc committee that the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin constituted to look into the allegations delivered its findings to the House.
