A National Youth organiser hopeful for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Brogya Gyamfi, has said that he would emerge winner when the party elects its new batch of national executives slated for Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Cape Coast and December 17, 2022 respectively.

According to him, it would be easy for him to replace the incumbent organiser, George Opare Addo, whom he believes is not up to the task.

Though some have tipped George Opare Addo to retain his position as National Youth Organiser but Mr. Gyamfi is certain he would overthrow the incumbent due to his abysmal perfomance.

He explained that the ruling New Patriotic Party is doing the nation a disservice and as such it is the duty of a youth organiser to urge the youth to demonstrate against the government to keep it on its toes.

Brogya Gyamfi however, noted that the incumbent organiser seems to have failed in his duties which would give him [Brogya] the leverage to unseat the incumbent.

Speaking on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo Morning Show, he said “the government is doing things that wouldn’t help the nation and it is imperative to bring that to their attention combining a number of tools such as demonstrations, picketing and press statements. So if you are voted as a youth organiser and you cannot do these things then you should not be allowed to continue holding that position…

“It shouldn’t be difficult to get that person out. There are many youths in the party who have the qualities to do the job for the party to move forward”, he added.

Mr. Gyamfi further touted that he has served the NDC faithfully all his life and believes that he would be voted for as the next youth organiser of the opposition NDC to aid the party win victory in 2024.
