The Interim Council and Management of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) will unveil its new logo on December 19 at the North Dzorwulu Campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
This follows the decision of the Interim Council to use the North Dzorwulu Campus of GIJ to be the physical location and address of the new university known as UniMAC.
Therefore, the Council named Rector of GIJ Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo as a Vice Chancellor for UniMAC while his appointment started with effect from Thursday, December 1.
Other members include Dr. Janetta Sika Akoto, Acting Registrar, Mr. Francis Obeng, Acting Director of Finance, Prof. Eric Opoku Mensah, Acting Rector (GIJ), Dr. Sampson Fenuku, Acting Rector (GIL).
Meanwhile, UniMAC has become the first public university to merge three specialized institutions which includes, Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Ghana Institute of Languages (GIL) and National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) established by an Act of Parliament, Act 1059,
