“I would like to use this opportunity to particularly say a very big thank you to the leadership and membership of the Bantama Youth Choir for their dedication towards the steady growth of the group.

“I would also like to express my gratitude to the Governing board and Management of the choir for their immense support from the inception of this group, through to the launch and especially over the last one year,” he expressed.

Mr. Asenso-Boakye who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency stressed that the successes chalked by Bantama Youth Choir within the twelve months are just the beginning of many great things.

He was hopeful that as the choir will become an enviable brand by all standards, it would be able to represent Bantama and Ghana at the international front in the very near future.

He offered a special thanks to the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia for her immense support and love for the Bantama Youth Choir over the years.

Touching on some national issues, he asked Ghanaians to pray fervently for President Akufo-Addo as his strategies for bringing back the country’s economy on its feet have started working; citing the current better performance of the Ghana Cedi against the major foreign currencies, and reduction in fuel prices.

Mr. Asenso-Boakye reiterated his stance that Ghana is lucky the global economic hardship which Ghana has also suffered, came at a time when the New Patriotic Party is in government.

The Works and Housing Minister also argued that no other political party government could have saved the country from the hardship than the ruling NPP party.

He further assured that with the efficient and prudent measures put in place by government, Ghanaians would soon realise the bouncing back of the economy.

The event which saw the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia in attendance, captured other high-profiled personalities including Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame; Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul; General Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua; CEO of Kessben Group of Companies, Mr. Kwabena Kesse.
