Minister Louis Farrakhan on Friday 16 December, 2022, made a surprise call at GN Bank in Chicago to familiarize himself with the services of the Bank.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Chairman of the Bank who was present on that day, received Minister Farrakhan and assisted the staff to answer the inquiries of the Nation of Islam Minister and his delegation.
Minister Farrakhan who is 89 years old exhibited remarkable interest in learning how the bank can serve the needs of the South Side Community and the people in Greater Chicago.
Minister Farrakhan commended the shareholders and directors of the bank for keeping the doors of the bank open and providing opportunities for employment and economic opportunities for small businesses on the South Side of Chicago noting that there are only 19 African American owned banks left in the whole of the USA.
He recalled his many trips to Africa particularly to Ghana.
He told many stories about his encounters with the late President Jerry Rawlings and his visit to Nkroful to honour the memory of the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
