The Ashanti Regional Police Commander of the Anti-robbery unit, Seargent Owusu Asante Baafi, together with his wife and their four-month-old child has met their untimely death.
This was after they were burnt to death in a domestic fire outbreak that occured in the late hours of Sunday, January 15, 2023, at their residence in Apromase in the Ejisu municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased policeman Sergeant Owusu Asante Baafi, and his family were reportedly trapped in the fire, which razed their apartment leading to their demise on the spot.
Their bodies have since been deposited at the morgue awaiting auptosy.
The Assembly Member for the Apromase/Asawase Electoral area, Ernest Kwarteng says they are waiting for the experts to investigate the cause of the fire.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare and his entourage have visited the scene to assess the situation and commiserate with the deceased families.
