A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Communications Team, Jennifer Oforiwaa Prempeh widely known in the political circles as Jennifer Queen, has cautioned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against its utterances amounting intimidation.
According to the vociferous female politician, the main opposition party should never in any medium mistakenly consider the silence of the ruling government as a weakness.
Jenifer Queen’s warning follows comments passed by Kwaku Boahen, a communication member of the NDC over the violent pronouncement made by Suame Constituency Youth Organizer in the Ashanti Region.
The Youth Organiser in an interview with the media was preaching violence against the NPP and urging NDC supporters to endeavour to make former President John Mahama president again.
Commenting on the development on High Tension of the Anopa Bofo morning show, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, Mr. Boahen held that the youth organiser had not committed any crime because his comments were just pronouncements and has not proceeded to act on them.
Jennifer Queen, however, deemed the justification of her rival to the violent comments of their youth organiser as unfortunate, adding that the NDC’s recent commentaries ahead of the 2024 general election are uncalled for.
She said “Let me signal this warning to them that, they shouldn’t take NPP’s leniency to be our weakness because we are not weak.”
According to the former Deputy National Communications Director of the National Disaster Management Organization [NADMO], the tolerance of the NPP over the years has to do with its discipline therefore the NDC should not dream of any attempt to intimidate any person.
She was quick to assert that since elections are won at the polling centres, she encourages the main opposition party to be focused on that as the best way to recapture power and not the violence they are preaching.
“To all members of the NPP listening to me, no one should ever be scared of the NDC threats,” Jennifer Queen stressed on Angel FM/TV as hosted by Kwamina Sam-Biney.
