A 32-year-old man, named Kobina Appiah has defiled and impregnated two nieces of his in Agona Abodom, Central Region.
According to the mother of the victims, Afua Yeboah, their uncle Kobina who is a bamboo seller lured and intoxicated the girls with drinks on two different occasions before having sexual intercourse with them.
This resulted in both girls, 16 and 14 years, becoming pregnant, according to Madam Afua.
The suspect has since taken to heels with no information regarding his whereabouts.
Nana Owiro XIV, the reagent Agona Abodom and Bankumhene of Agona Nyarkrom Traditional Area confirmed the news to Angel News’ Opanyin Darko when he was contacted.
According to him, the traditional actors in the community are aiding the police to arrest the suspect and bring him to book.
He also guaranteed that the protection of the children will be their priority in as much as some rites would be performed according to the customs and traditions of the people, to cleanse the individuals in question.
Meanwhile, Agona Swedru Divisional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit Command is currently on the heels of the suspect, Kobina Appiah.
