The gesture, Dr Cartenor said formed part of the efforts of the Foundation to give back to society especially on her birthday.

“I wanted to celebrate it [birthday] with people that I know are dearest to my heart which are children…so I decided to come to Korle Bu Children’s Department and I brought food, drinks and also made some bags and bracelets and gave them pens, pencils and books so they can keep as a sign of hope and know that God is the one that heals…,” she said.

She also fed the over 100 children and showered them with several gifts and also assisted each parent with amounts ranging from GHC 100 to GHC 200.

The founder of the USA-based non-profit organisation who has been donating to the under-privileged annually also donated an undisclosed amount of money to the paediatric unit to be used to settle the bills of patients who couldn’t pay their bills after being discharged.

The President of Tsalach Foundation which focuses on helping with the development of children also encouraged the children to believe in God and his healing power.

“They have to look up to God because it’s only God that can to our rescue so they should pray more and continue to have faith and trust God that He would come through for them because whatever issues they have it’s only that can help them…,” she entreated.
