The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kumawu constituency in the Ashanti Region, Philip Atta Basoa has died.
The MP died early Tuesday, March 28, 2023 according to Angelonline.com.gh sources as announced by Nana Yaa Brefo on the Anopa Bofo morning show on Angel 102.9FM and Angel TV.
He sat on three Committees in Parliament- Employment, Social Welfare; State Enterprises Committee as well as the Lands and Forestry.
The MP, until his death, had been battling an undisclosed medical condition and was one of those on the Majority side who missed Friday’s controversial vote to approve the six Ministerial nominees.
He was 53 years.
