KiDi announces return to music

Award winning Hi-Life musician, Dennis Nana Dwamena popularly known as ‘KiDi’, has announced his comeback to mainstream music duties, following a short-term break due to health-related issues.

He expressed his excitement of returning to activeness after his inactivity for almost two months.

KiDi on January 9, 2023, shared a flyer for his Golden Boy North American Tour slated for February 24, 2023 but had to cancel the tour in order to battle some health-related matters.

After almost two months of inactivity, the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, declared that he is gladly back to doing what he loves most; creating music and performing.

“I am glad to be back to doing what I love most, creating music and performing for you. Thanks for sticking it out with me,” Kidi said in a statement on his Instagram account, Friday, April 14, 2023.

Highlighting on the break he took from social media which he said forms part of the routine care about his health, KiDi noted he had been “overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from family, friends, fans and the brands I work with.

“You all made me feel incredibly loved in this difficult period and I can’t appreciate you,” he wrote.

KiDi, although did not detail exactly what was wrong with his health said: “Unfortunately, a few bad actors took this as an opportunity to spread false stories that got a lot of you very concerned.

“While I do not want to give it any more attention, I want to categorically address that those stories were false,” he added.
