The Member of Parliament of Akyem Oda constituency in the Eastern Region, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has lauded Dr. Kwabena Duffuor for enhancing the democratic image of the National Democratic Congress.
He said instead of people castigating the former Finance Minister for ensuring that there is a level playing field in the upcoming NDC parliamentary and presidential primaries, Dr. Duffuor must be congratulated for exhibiting such audacity.
Alexander Akwasi Acquah made the comment while contributing to Peace FMs morning show programme K,okorokoo on Thursday, as monitored by Angelonline.com.gh.
The NewPatriotic Party (NPP) MP claimed, the NDC has been known for its undemocratic ideals and, therefore, its leaders and rank and file are not used to tolerating dissenting views.
Akwasi Acquah wondered which avenue was available to Dr. Duffuor for redress when all the party leadership has bestowed the title “presumptive leader” on ex-President Mahama.
