‘Learn to be serious in politics’ – Gbande to Bawumia

The Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande has asked the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to refrain from his propaganda antics and attend to national issues in the country’s interest.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia is the most insincere person Ghana has ever had and that he had resorted playing dirty politics amid his presidential ambitions.

He said the latter is using his presidential quest to make fun of the NPP delegates as part of the means to realising dreams.

Mr. Gbande’s comments come after Dr Mahamudu Bawumia vowed to give the NDC and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, a “showdown” in the December 2024 general elections.

He also alleged that the NDC’s leader is scared of his candidature once the NPP elect him to lead them in 2024.

He made the statement in the Nkwanta South Constituency during his tour of the Oti Region where he met NPP delegates who will be voting to elect the party’s next presidential candidate on November 4, 2023.

Speaking to Angel News’ Nana Yaa Tweneboaah Asare, Mustapha Gbande laughed off Dr. Bawumia’s comment, adding that there were more relevant issues of national interest to address than indulging into cheap politics.
