A former stalwart of the New Parotitic Party (NPP), Alan Kyeremanten, has explained reasons for his departure from the governing party.

According to the former Trade and Industry Minister, he was compelled to resign due to the current happenings within the party.

Mr. Alan Kyeremanten made the disclosure Monday, September 25, 2023, when he announced his intention to contest for the presidential seat as an independent candidate come 2024 general elections.

To him, he came to the conclusion that the party needed his contributions no more going forward therefore he taught it wise to bow out peacefully to avoid creating unforeseen circumstances.

“It is abundantly clear to me, that my services and contributions to the Party are not appreciated, and that my continuous stay in the Party will create further tension and division, which is an exact replay of circumstances that led to my decision to resign from the Party in 2008,” he noted.

He added that, the fallout of the Super Delegates Conference last month August was a typical example of his claimed.

Mr. Kyeremanten assertion traces back to what he termed as unfair and biased treatment meted out to him during the super delegates conference leading to his withdrawal from the November 4 presidential primaries.
