The leadership of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has distanced itself from the recently-held 0demonstration dubbed Occupy Bank of Ghana.

Conveners of the demonstration have scheduled October 3 as the date to register their displeasure against the Bank of Ghana leadership for mismanagement the central bank.

The exercise which would take place on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, had the logo of the PNC on a flyer advertising the event. The flyer has since gone viral on social media.

But the PNC in a press release signed by its General Secretary, Janet Asana Nabla said they have no idea about the activities of the group let alone joining them.

“The party executives cautioned the organizers of the demonstration and asked them to remove their party logo from the circulating flyer on every social media platform.

“The organizers of the protest should remove the party’s name immediately from their flyer,” the statement read in part.

The PNC, according to them considers the conveners’ decisions to include their party logo on its flyer without consultation as “disrespect.”
