The National Chairman of the New Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah says Alan Kyeremanten’s departure from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can be a plus of the country’s democracy.

Sharing his view on the current happenings within the governing party on Angel Morning Show on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, Asiedu Nketiah said, the ongoing wrangling in the NPP is primarily driven by a commitment to safeguarding the country’s democracy.

“Alan’s resignation from the party and its aftermath, Kennedy’s propaganda and others can be levelled down as a means of protecting the country’s democracy,” he statrd.

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah averred that, adhering to prescribed stages of democracy is very crucial, as deviating from them can plunge the country into turmoil.

“When our democratic system of governance is disrupted, the citizens would have to fasten their belts and rebel against the ruling party,” he addressed.
