PHOTOS: One-week observation of Theresa Kufuor at Peduase

The observation of the one-week of the passing of the late First Lady, Theresa Kufuor, is currently ongoing at the Peduase residence of former President Kufour in the Eastern Region.

The ceremony of the late wife of former President John Agyekum Kufuor started in the early hours of Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

President Nana Akufo-Addo including other high-profile dignitaries consisting of past and present Ministers of State and Members of Parliaments were present to commissirate with the ex-President.

Vice President Dr. Bawumia, Former Speaker of Parliament, Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye Senior, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, Joseph Osei Owusu and NLA Boss, Sammi Awuku and just to mention few were present at the occasion.

Madam Theresa Kufuor, who was a retired nurse and midwife died on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at age 87.

President Akufo-Addo has announced a state burial for the former First Lady during the final funeral rite schedule for next month.

The final funeral rites will take place at the forecourt of the state house on November 16, 2023.

The funeral rites will continue in Kumasi on November 18, 2023 after which she would be laid to rest on November 19, 2023.
